  • Cultivated a quarter acre garden then marketed and donated thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables in our low-income community
  • Constructed a solar greenhouse and the “SOL Shack” meeting space.
  • Planted bountiful gardens at an elder care facility, a shelter for homeless families and at two elementary schools
  • Created and sold hundreds of SOL Bowls to fund these service projects
  • Made and bottled a value added product, SOLsa, from their harvest.
  • Prepared and sold their farm-fresh cuisine at regional festivals with appliances powered by the SOL Patrol van
  • Given over 30 presentations at conferences and events

“SOL Garden is a growing and learning experience that has made me a more open-minded person. It is a place you can go and everything is okay—when you go back home or to school, things are not necessarily okay. Through SOL Garden, you know you are doing something, making the world better-- maybe not perfect, but better.” Kirby

“SOL Garden has changed and affected how I view the world, my community, everything around me, and what I do---in a positive way.” Kendall
