Solidarity Saturday Tour Saturday June 13, 10-11.30 AM
Now is the time to increase food and energy interdependence. Experience our farm, home and education center that integrate solar greenhouses, energy efficient buildings, abundant market gardens, solar electric and hot water systems, biodiesel vehicles. Free! After the tour, you’re invited to bring a potluck lunch then stay for the afternoon workshop.

No-Till Gardening for Life Saturday June 13, 1-3 PM
Permanent raised beds, mulching and ‘the cardboard method’ build fertile living soil, produce abundant food and mitigate climate change. We offer this free workshop to support your efforts to Grow Food Everywhere!

Green River Brewfest Saturday June 27 12-5 PM
Seeds of Solidarity is thrilled to be the 2009 beneficiary of this great local event, featuring 100 craft breweries, food and music. www.greenriverbrewfest.com for more info.

Supporters Day Saturday July 18, 10 AM- 1PM
A special event to unite and appreciate those who sustain Seeds of Solidarity. Enjoy a guided tour by the founders followed by a farm-fresh lunch on us. Kids welcome, activities provided. Not yet a contributor? Join the circle of supporters and attend this morning of gratitude.

Grow Food Everywhere! School Gardens and Greenhouses Thursday August 13, 3-6 PM
This popular back to school workshop features school garden and greenhouse techniques, curriculum connections, and community partnerships. Geared toward educators, all are welcome. PDPs available. $15 covers materials and refreshments. Call or email to reserve your spot.

Earth and Spirit Retreat for Youth Saturday and Sunday,

11h Annual North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival ‘The Festival that Stinks’ Saturday and Sunday October 3 and 4 10 AM to 5PM
Forster’s Farm, Orange Orange is the new Green!
Over 100 amazing art, regional agriculture, and glorious garlic food vendors, renewable energy workshops, and great entertainment on two solar powered stages. At our booths, enjoy garlic-growing workshops then choose from 16 varieties to plant or eat. Savor farm fresh cuisine served by our SOL Garden teens. Festival composting results in only 3 bags of trash for 12,000 folks! Admission: Adults $5/day or $8 for the weekend, kids under 12 free. Growing Community Neighborhood Self-Sufficiency Saturday October 24, 1-3 PM
We are thrilled and humbled to live with neighbors who create and share resources and skills. We’ll visit a waste oil heated woodworking shop that also produces biofuel, then head to a beautiful wood-fired masonry bread oven.
